The Dolphinarium in Constanţa, belonging to the Natural Sciences Museum Complex, is situated on the south-eastern shore of Lake Tăbăcăriei. It was inaugurated in 1972, at that time being the first museum of this type in Romania and in the South – East of Europe. The performances are held in an amphitheatre with a pool and an indoor basin, the shows’ stars being the trained dolphins and seals from the South Atlantic. Like the Aquarium, the Dolphinarium represents a great attraction for the tourists, especially for children.
